The head-to-head

SQOR vs. Pyramid

Pyramid is now part of ServiceNow. SQOR's only roadmap is your answers.

ServiceNow acquired Pyramid Analytics in early 2026 and has said, in its own words, where it is taking the platform: analytics integrated with enterprise workflows across IT, HR, and supply chain. If your renewal is coming up, this page lays out the public facts and the alternative: an independent engine whose only job is answering your business questions, reconciled to your books.

The verdict: This page is different from our other comparisons, because the facts are different. Pyramid Analytics built a genuinely capable decision-intelligence platform, and its own users praised its pricing as transparent and reasonable. Then the ground moved: ServiceNow announced the acquisition on February 12, 2026, closed it within a month, and stated the direction in its own words: Pyramid will "deliver high-value solutions across IT, HR, supply chain and other areas," with "analytics that are deeply integrated with the enterprise-wide workflows where work actually happens." Nothing in that sentence is bad, and we will not pretend otherwise. But if you bought Pyramid as your company's independent analytics brain, your renewal now prices in a question that did not exist last year: whose roadmap does this platform serve? We found no public statement about the standalone analytics roadmap or long-term commercial terms. SQOR.ai's answer to that question is structural: an independent, autonomous engine that builds the model itself from your source systems, reconciles every figure to your books, blocks the AI from inventing numbers, and serves the cause, the forecast, and a scored course of action, at one readable per-seat price with the warehouse included.

One honest carve-out: if your company runs on ServiceNow, this acquisition may be genuinely good news, and analytics embedded in the workflows you already live in could be exactly what you want. This page is for everyone else: the Pyramid customer whose analytics needs are company-wide, whose stack is not ServiceNow-centric, and whose renewal is now a decision instead of a formality.

IT, HR, supply chain

Where ServiceNow says, in its own words, Pyramid will deliver solutions: analytics integrated into enterprise workflows.

No statement

What we found about the standalone analytics roadmap and long-term commercial terms. Not a criticism; an open question your renewal has to price.

The comparison

Not a teardown. A renewal decision, laid out honestly.

Pyramid did not get worse in March. What changed is the counterparty and the compass. With SQOR.ai, an autonomous engine runs machine learning across ALL of your data, every key performance indicator ("KPI"), every day, defining, computing, and explaining the metrics itself, extracting the causes, the predictions, and a military-grade course-of-action engine's recommendations, with the warehouse included, and its roadmap has exactly one customer: the person asking the question.

How SQOR.ai compares to Pyramid Analytics after the ServiceNow acquisition
SQOR.aiIndependent, autonomous PyramidNow part of ServiceNow
Whose roadmap sets your renewal Yours: an independent engine whose only product is answering your questions ServiceNow's: the stated direction is analytics integrated into its enterprise workflows
Who does the analysis The engine itself: every KPI generated, computed, and monitored autonomously A capable platform your team models and operates; that part does not change with the deal
Who vouches for the number The math: every figure computed from source, reconciled to your books, as-of dated. The AI is blocked from inventing figures The platform's governance and your team's modeling; no answer-level reconciliation to your books
What you get back The number, the why, the forecast, and a scored course of action, in plain English Dashboards, analysis, and data-science tooling, now aimed at workflow integration
The price One readable per-seat price, warehouse included Users praised the old pricing as transparent and reasonable; renewal terms are now set inside ServiceNow
Time to live Two weeks to answers on your own data; the entire day-one ask is read-only access Already deployed if you are a customer; the question is the next contract, not the next install
What is retained Read-only, and Zero Data Retention standard: no LLM retains your data, up to fully sovereign Per your contract, now with ServiceNow as the counterparty

The fully-loaded math

The license was never the price.

We will not invent a Pyramid price: none was ever published, its users called the old pricing reasonable, and the next quote is ServiceNow's to write. So this walk charges the platform NOTHING and prices only what every modeled-BI deployment carries either way: the specialists. Attack it, or bring your renewal quote and we will walk yours.

The Pyramid stack, fully loaded

25 users, with the platform line deliberately left at zero

The platform: never publicly priced, users called it reasonable, and the post-acquisition renewal terms are ServiceNow's to set; charged at nothing here rather than guessed STRUCTURALunpriced
The roadmap question: whether the standalone analytics platform, its priorities, and its integrations follow ServiceNow's stated workflow direction; unknowable today, so also unpriced STRUCTURALunpriced
The data team SQOR removes entirely: one data engineer ($130,000, low end of 2026 surveys) and one analyst ($95,000) who build and maintain what the tool needs ESTIMATE$225,000/yr
Fully-loaded total, before a single license dollar≈ $225,000+/yr

SQOR.ai, fully loaded

25 seats, everything included

25 seats at $163.20 per seat per month, all-in, at typical usage of 15 questions a day (about 450 a month)$48,960/yr
The warehouse: Google Cloud and BigQuery included$0
Required specialists: none. The engine builds the model, computes, explains, forecasts, and recommends$0
Fully-loaded total$48,960/yr
≈ 78% less

on the recurring cost. And the cost gap is the smaller story, because even fully loaded, Pyramid surfaces a fraction of the signal in your data while SQOR reads all of it. You pay less and see more. A junior data engineer or analyst now commands $96,250 to $138,500 out of a strong program, which lands a first hire near $120,000 fully loaded with benefits and payroll taxes. SQOR runs 25 people, everything included, for $48,960, about $160 each a month: less than half the cost of that single hire. And the team a modeled BI tool still requires still forces the data team SQOR removes, so its stack runs about $225,000, more than four times the entire SQOR bill. Your numbers will differ; bring your quote and we will walk yours.

Then there is time.

SQOR.ai is live on your own data in two weeks, which matters here for one reason: you can know what the alternative looks like on your own numbers BEFORE your renewal date, not after. Running both during the decision costs you nothing but read-only access.

Uncertainty has a price tag too.

A renewal signed under an open roadmap question is a bet either way. Even at the unpriced floor above, one quarter of the specialist payroll is roughly $56,000; a two-week read-only proof that resolves the question is the cheapest information available to you this year.

And the people? Nothing here asks you to change teams. It asks whether next year's analytics decisions should depend on a roadmap written for someone else's workflows.

Bring us any comparable quote and we will beat it.

Applies to a written quote for a comparable offering: autonomous decision intelligence with the data warehouse included and no required specialist staffing. One quote per organization. SQOR.ai determines comparability in good faith and will explain its determination.

Gartner® Hype Cycle 2026, twice

Named in two 2026 Gartner Hype Cycles.

SQOR.ai was named in the Hype Cycle for Data Science and Machine Learning, under the category Gartner calls Vibe Analytics and rates Transformational, its highest benefit rating,1 and again in the Hype Cycle for Analytics and Business Intelligence.2 Vibe Analytics, in one line: the dashboard era ends and asking becomes the interface.

Meet Esa

Every team deserves a JARVIS.

“Tony Stark is a witty guy with a funny mustache, right up until his AI, JARVIS, turns him into Iron Man. That is what we watch happen at the companies where Esa is deployed, and what we intend for every one.”
Lazaro Fuentes, Founder & CEO, SQOR.ai

Esa is the intelligence layer inside SQOR.ai. She answers in plain English, watches every metric nightly, and tells you what moved, what is coming, and what to do about it, giving the team you already have the reach of a twenty-person data function.

Ask. Understand. Act.

Why the math works

Built so the meter reads zero.

The warehouse is included

Google Cloud and BigQuery are part of the subscription. The single largest infrastructure line item in the old category is zero here.

Your Google commit works here

SQOR.ai is sold through Google Cloud Marketplace. If you carry a Google Cloud committed-spend agreement, up to 25% of your commit credits can be applied to SQOR.ai subscriptions.

No required specialists

No dashboards to build, no semantic model to hand-code, no analyst queue. The engine does the analysis; your team does the deciding.

The math is the authority

Machine learning computes every number from your data and reconciles it to your books. The AI explains the number and is blocked from inventing it.

Beside your books, never instead of them

SQOR is operational intelligence that sits beside your audited source of truth. It reads and reconciles; your system of record stays the system of record, and nothing here replaces your audited financials.

Zero Data Retention, standard

SQOR Shield ships with every deployment: no large language model ("LLM") retains your data, and nothing about your business ever trains one. Your prompts, payloads, and answers are processed in the moment and stored nowhere outside of SQOR. Ask any vendor on this page what their LLM keeps.

Google-grade security underneath

SQOR.ai is built entirely on Google Cloud, so your data is protected by the same infrastructure Google publishes its security protocols and certifications for: encryption at rest and in transit by default, and the compliance regime of one of the world's most audited clouds. Google's encryption-at-rest documentation →

Before you re-sign

Answer the roadmap question with evidence, not guesses.

Keep Pyramid running; this is not a rip-out and your renewal date does not move. SQOR.ai connects read-only to the same source systems, your data stays exactly where it is, and your metric definitions are captured during the proof of value ("POV") so the answers speak your company's language from day one. Decide at renewal with both options live in front of you.

01

Connect

Plug into the stack you already run. Read-only by design, no infrastructure, no migration, nothing your current platform even notices.

02

Ask

Type the questions your team answers with Pyramid today, in plain English, and the ones nobody has had time to model.

03

Act

Get the answer, reconciled to your books, with its source and as-of date. Take it to the board. Two weeks, counted from the day we get read-only access, which is the entire day-one ask, with a POV priced to be a no-brainer.

Questions buyers ask

SQOR.ai vs Pyramid, asked plainly.

What happened to Pyramid Analytics?
ServiceNow announced its intent to acquire Pyramid Analytics on February 12, 2026, and the acquisition closed in March 2026. Deal terms were not disclosed; press reports estimated a price of a few hundred million dollars. ServiceNow has said it will use Pyramid to deliver solutions across IT, HR, supply chain, and other areas, with analytics deeply integrated into enterprise workflows.
Is SQOR.ai a Pyramid Analytics alternative?
For business decision analytics, yes. Pyramid built a genuinely capable decision-intelligence platform, and nothing here says it gets worse inside ServiceNow. What changed is whose roadmap it serves. SQOR.ai is an independent, autonomous analytics engine: it builds the model itself from your source systems, reconciles every figure to your books, and its only roadmap is answering your questions.
What does the acquisition mean for Pyramid customers?
Publicly, this much is known: ServiceNow stated the direction is analytics integrated with enterprise workflows across IT, HR, and supply chain. We found no public statement about the standalone analytics roadmap or long-term commercial terms. That is not a criticism; it is simply the open question a renewal decision now has to price in.
Do I have to leave Pyramid to try SQOR.ai?
No. SQOR.ai connects read-only to the same source systems, your data stays where it is, and you can run both while you decide. Two weeks to answers on your own data, counted from read-only access, which is the entire day-one ask.
Does SQOR.ai require a cloud data warehouse?
No. Google Cloud and BigQuery are included in the SQOR.ai subscription, so the single largest infrastructure line item in a typical analytics stack is zero.
Has SQOR.ai been recognized by Gartner?
Yes, twice in 2026: in the Hype Cycle for Data Science and Machine Learning, in a category Gartner rates Transformational, and separately in the Hype Cycle for Analytics and Business Intelligence.

Decide your renewal with evidence.

Bring the questions your team answers with Pyramid today. We'll answer them live, reconciled to your books, before your renewal date arrives.
